We verify the quality of our Classic Powdered Basal Media by testing samples from each batch as required by specifications. Samples are reconstituted to 1× working concentration and sterilized by membrane filtration, and testing may include endotoxin level, solubility, osmolality, and pH. The values for these parameters are determined using the test conditions described for Classic Powdered Basal Media, and this medium is formulated without sodium bicarbonate to enhance stability.
