Premium-quality calf serum is sourced from Australian cattle raised on high-quality pastures. It is a sterile liquid collected from the arterial blood of calves aged under 12 months. All batches are processed and manufactured locally in Australia. The product is sterilized via three-stage 0.1 μm filtration. It undergoes comprehensive quality testing, including BVD and other viral screening, mycoplasma detection, endotoxin assay, performance verification and biochemical analysis.
Premium-quality calf serum undergoes heat treatment to inactivate complement. Complement participates in multiple biological reactions: cell lysis, smooth muscle contraction, histamine release from mast cells and platelets, enhanced phagocytosis, and the chemotaxis and activation of lymphocytes and macrophages.
