Recombinant Human Epidermal Growth Factor is a mitogenic polypeptide that stimulates the division of epidermal and other cells.
EGF, with a molecular weight of 6.2 kDa, can induce a series of biochemical reactions in target cells after binding with the specific receptor EGFR located on the cell surface: increasing the concentration of calcium ions in the cell, promoting the process of glycolysis, increasing the synthesis of proteins, and enhancing the expression of specific genes (e.g., EGFR) to promote DNA synthesis and cell proliferation.
Storage conditions:
This product is stable for 24 months when stored in the dark at -25℃ to -15℃. This product is in the form of freeze-dried powder. After dissolution, it can be stored at 4 ℃ for 2-7 days. Please keep it below -20℃ for long-term use. For long-term storage, it is recommended to add carrier protein (0.1% BSA) and sub-pack it as appropriate to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Preparation Instructions:
Resolution with sterile water at a concentration of no less than 100 μg/mL is recommended. Customers can make further dilution with other solvents according to the subsequent experimental requirements.
